The Rising Tide of Cancer: Are We Addressing the Root Cause?

Cancer cases are rising at an alarming rate every single day. In response, governments, social organizations, and private entities are racing to open more and more cancer hospitals across the globe. On the surface, this appears to be a noble and necessary step — to treat and hopefully cure those suffering from this devastating disease.

But if we take a closer look, something doesn’t add up. Despite the increasing number of cancer hospitals, the number of patients keeps growing too. Instead of slowing the spread, we’re simply building more places to manage it. It’s almost as if we're trying to contain a fire without putting out the flame.

What’s truly surprising — and concerning — is how little focus there is on preventing cancer in the first place. It's as if we've accepted cancer as inevitable, rather than something that could, in many cases, be avoided.

Think about it: patients often resist changing their comfortable, unhealthy eating habits. On the other side, governments and social organizations tend to focus on visible efforts like inaugurating new hospitals or awareness campaigns. These actions look good on paper and in the media — but do they really address the root cause?

It’s ironic. Some spiritual leaders and traditional healers (Baba jee) do advocate for prevention through natural and holistic methods, but their approaches are often complex or difficult to follow for the average person, and thus not widely adopted.

So, the big question arises: What should we do to truly address the cancer crisis?

There are better alternatives than simply building more hospitals:
- Education: Teach people how to live healthier lives, starting with their food. Encourage high-fiber, nutritious, and chemical-free diets.
- Organic Agriculture: Promote herbal and organic (jaivik) farming to reduce the amount of harmful substances entering our food chain.
- Environmental Action: Actively work to reduce air, water, and soil pollution. Our environment plays a huge role in our health — and it's time we start treating it like a priority.

If we shift our focus from cure to prevention, from treatment to lifestyle transformation, we might not only reduce the number of cancer cases but also improve overall well-being in society.

It’s time to stop treating the symptoms and start curing the cause.
